Little Explorers of the Plaines is dedicated to improving early literacy and school readiness for young children in Des Plaines, Rosemont, and Park Ridge. As a local affiliate of Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, we raise funds locally and work with community partners to provide free, high-quality, age-appropriate books to children from birth to age five, regardless of family income. We mail books directly to children’s homes each month, encouraging families to read together, fostering a lifelong love of reading, strengthening parent-child connections, and helping children develop a strong foundation for learning and success..
